Durability & Elegant Appearance
When a hardwood floor is refinished, this increases its durability and improves the natural, elegant appearance. The process normally involves sanding, staining, and finishing at which point, any damage is repaired and if needed, a board is replaced. Refinishing takes considerable time, but a skilled craftsman has the patience for the job. Nails, staples, and tacks are removed so the sandpaper isn’t torn. The sander will follow the grain of the wood utilizing the correct grade of sandpaper.
Renew Your Existing Hardwood Floor
If a thick, high quality wood has been used, its wear layer will allow refinishing. If the floor is constructed of a fine quality, engineered wood it may allow refinishing multiple times. Following sanding, the stain is applied and allowed to dry. The final step in the process is laying down the finish and letting it dry. Any questions?
